Sunday Afternoons
The perfect way to spend the afternoon. Yes, that's sweet tea. I know, I know, I'm a west coast girl and we don't do sweet tea there, but I'm starting to like it. However, I still don't like it as sweet as some of the people down here. And for you southern folks who do like sweet tea, I learned a secret...add a pinch of baking soda and it takes away the bitterness.

There's No Gas in Georgia
That's right, there's very little gas in Georgia right now. Here's our story about filling up 1 car tonight. We still have to put gas in Chris' car.
This is gas station #1. It was 5:30 pm and the gas station was completely out of gas and was planning on getting a shipment around 8:30pm. These people started getting in line at 5pm!!!
This is gas station #2 no gas at all.
This is gas station # 3 no gas here either.
It is now 5:51 pm and we're at gas station #4.
Here's the line.

This is how we feel.
And this is the time it was when we finally got gas. That's right folks 53 minutes in line to get 1/2 a tank of gas.

Clarification
For those of you who are so completely disgusted by our previous post, we really could care less about any football team. I know, we're sorry, but we'd definitely join you for any football parties and root for your team. We're from the northwest...football is not a religion there.

Go Dawgs!!!!!
Antebellum...
...meaning before war. In the south it is known as the time before the Civil War. We took a road trip today to Madison, GA, which is about 1 hour east of GA. This town has been rated the #1 small town in America and is known for it's antebellum homes. It is a really cute town and a nice way to get out of the city.

This house is for sale. Isn't it great!!!

Bare Minerals
Survey
So I came home today to find an interesting email. It was from a GA Tech PhD candidate that is doing some sort of research project, and wants to interview people that write blogs. At first I was a little skeptical, but after clicking on the link, the phone numbers seem legit (meaning, they have the correct area codes to be a GA phone number). Anyways, I figured I would start the survey and if they asked any personal information I would skip that question. The email also asked if I would send the survey link to other friends of mine who are blogging. So here's the website if you would like to participate: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=xkVRkuhvvuiOIMrFDIxkLA_3d_3d
Who knows maybe this persons research will end up in it's own chapter in a sociology textbook or something like that, and I figure that now as an Atlantan it's my responsibility to help Tech out.

Unexpected Date Night

Monday, September 15, 2008
Today was a good day for everyone. It was start of my second week at ACRM which was great, although I feel like I'm never going to learn all the lab work and the medications. When Chris and I were got home, we were able to enjoy a glass of one of our favorite wines, Smoking Loon Merlot. We highly recommend it to you. Especially if you don't enjoy red wine, it's a good place to start.
Gunnar had a great day too. Not only did he get a new bag of dog food (which he finds exciting) and a new bag of treats...but he got a new tennis ball!!! Not really exciting for you people folks, but it's like winning the lottery to him. And the really special thing about this tennis ball, is that it squeaks. He's obsessed with sqeaky toys and this ones harder to destroy.
I was also able to spend sometime tonight stamping and making cards. This is really relaxing to me and I love it. Here's the card I made tonight.
And the best part of the day...we got a new digital camera!!! Even though Chris has all of his big camera and lenses, they're not easy to stick in my purse just to have with us. After 5 years of lugging around our old digital camera, we got a new one today.
