I laughed Out Loud
One of the things about being a nurse is that you get a crazy amount of mail. So when this month's Nurse's Week (yeah, kinda weird...it's not a weekly publication with that name) came in the mail I eagerly opened it up and began reading. Well not really, I just happened to be bored so I flipped through it. Anyways, I came across this article about a hospital in Oregon. The nurses have to wear yellow sashes when they're administering medications so that nobody interrupts them in hopes of decreasing medication errors. I know that this is important and that medication errors actually kill a number of people yearly in hospitals, but this is hilarious. Where I worked we took a more modern approach to passing meds. The patients had barcodes on their armbands and we scanned the patient and the medication. Salem Hospital FBC ladies...be thankful for the scanners!!!

When You're Going Out for Indian...
...you had better check to see if they're open. We went out for Indian food (for the first time) with Kyle and Regan. This is their favorite place...too bad they're not currently open for business.
So we ended up at Desi Spice (which in my opinion, was very good, but overpriced).
We also me their friend Gigi with the great dane. For those of you that don't know Kyle and Regan, every time they talk about Gigi, they say "Gigi with the great dane." Thanks guys, but how many Gigi's do you think there is around here? We think we know who she is. :)
Then we went to Apre Diem for desert...YUM!!

The Debate
Our Neighborhood
For those of you who are interested in where we live, we decided to take you on a tour of our neighborhood. We are lucky to be able to walk to most places, so last Sunday night we walked to our small group. It only takes about 30 minutes.

It's nice to have the grocery store right across from our apartment.
Yes, this is called a package store, but it's actually a liquor store. Don't ask me why they call it a package store.
Fellini's Pizza, some say the best in town, I don't agree.
They finally are putting a sidewalk down this street. Now we can safely walk places.
There are a lot of monuments along the way, a nice history lesson.

A few of my favorite houses.
This is Piedmont Hospital, one of the better hospitals in this city.
The fire hydrants are silver...weird.

And now we arrive at the Means' condo. It's probably about 2 miles away. The Reves live right across the street, so we often switch condos for small group.
